Hawaii's history is very cool. The first people to live in Hawaii arrived by  canoes. They came to Hawaii about 1,500 years ago. In 1810 Hawaii had its first king named Kamehameha. Hawaii is named for the first person who came to the islands, Hawai'i Loa.  Did you know Hawaii is the worlds largest island chain?! Hawaii is the only state with its own language. Hawaii is the 50th state of the USA. Hawaii became a state in 1950!
